Holy EGG HUNT during Intermission! Between the support of Gulf Coast Speedway & POWRi Lonestar 600's racers & crew. We lined the front stretch with a ton of Easter eggs! Every kiddo got a full basket & left with a smile! We also dropped off packages of sprint car coloring pages & crayons for the fan kiddos during heats! Thank you Patrick Lundy for the delivery amongst! Thank you to all that helped make this a successful event for all the kiddos!!
Jr. Sprint feature, let's roll out! Trevor Twardeski & Dalten Maust lead them to the green. Beau Chapman & Finn McDade charge for the front. Twardeski leads. The top 4 is a tight race. Maust tracks down McDade. Moves to 3rd. Chapman running 2nd. Maust on the move. Ready to pass for 2nd & pulls wildly to the infield. Driver becomes DNF as he slung a belt. Top 3 Twardeski, Chapman, McDade. Chapman is working hard. The race for 1 & 2 is ON. McDade spins for the infield, recovers. KayDee Howard moves in to 3rd. Chapman 2nd. Checkers roll out. Trevor Twardeski parks his #27T in the Driven Performance Midwest victory lane!

Jayton Brown and Christopher Townsend on the front row after the redraw. Green flag drops Jayton brown leads for a short moment until Townsend makes a slide job in turn 4. Townsend new leader. Timothy Watson follows in 3rd. Several laps later Watson slides in front of Brown. Yellow out to a car stopped on back stretch just off track. Line them back up nose to tail. Green waves Townsend still out front. Halfway yellow out Stephen Yates finds himself spun out turn one. Townsend, Watson, Brown top 3. Green flies Brown jumps to the outside good run on Watson and drag race ensues down backstretch. Brown prevails and passes Watson. Townsend still out front. Yellow again this time for Rookie Ayden Watkins slides off top of turn 2 and into barricade. Driver OK. Car OK. Ayden back on track at the tail of the field. White flag Brown trails Townsend. Throw a blanket over them. Brown giving it his all to find a way around Townsend. He would fail and finish second with Watson in third. Congrats Christopher Townsend for driving his #6 into the Driven Performance Midwest victory lane! Again for 4th weekend in a row. Undefeated in the 2019 season in his restrictor. Who will knock him off the top?
600s, you ready? A beautiful 4 wide salute to the fans pans out. Formation back to side by side. Green drops. Preston Perlmutter & Mike Walling set it.
Walling to the lead. Turn 3&4 collect off the high side & caution flies. Back to it. Walling leads. Colton Corbin 2nd. Preston Perlmutter, Jayton Brown, Jacob Lucas, Karson Battarbee all trading slide job. After slide job. The field is TIGHT. The racing is crazy fast. Fans on the edge of seats. As it feels almost TOO FAST! Turn 1 causing huge upsets in set up. Turning cars into slow roll shaking rocket ships. Perlmutter has moved to 2nd. Ready to snag the lead. He gets it... and caution is out due to another turn 3&4 collect. Caution is out while series owner Scot Maust steps out to check the 2 cars from the collection in turn 1. When Maverick Elkins gives Isaiah Garcia a bump. Garcia gives a bump back. And hammer down, Elkins flips Garcia coming up to turn 1. Under Caution. Garcia checks out okay. Elkins is blacked flagged & advised to leave. Both parties have been notified of any further actions that will be taken. Eyes wide open, back to green. Walling back in the lead. Perlmutter tries again. Corbin right there. Slide jobs. Walling still prevailing. Lucas joins in. Coming to 3, Lucas tags Perlmutter. Sending him for a spin. Lucas to the rear. Perlmutter back in place. Green. Corbin is trying his all. The race is intense. Corbin snags it. The 29c of Colton Corbin parks it in the Driven Performance Midwest victory lane!
