Top 16 in passing points lock into the A main. Remaining 18 split up into 2 B mains. Top 4 from each B transfer. B main #1 transfers- Jarrett Hjorth, Oscar Aguilera, Patrick Lundy & Matt McDade. B main #2 transfers- Maverick Elkins, Chuck Dunlap, Cody Kokes & Jayton Brown.
Jr. Sprint A main hits the track first. Beau Chapman & Dalten Maust set the pace. Green is out. Chapman takes the lead. Begins to check out. Maust finds his line. Camyrn Spake climbs to 3rd. Rookie driver debuting for the first time, Tucker Crabtree, rounds out 4th. Maust begins his trek. Closer, closer. Into to turn 2, Maust tries for the lead & succeeds. Approaching lap traffic. Maust holds it past 4th place. Chapman on his tail. They approach the next car. Splitting. Maust low. Chapman high, he takes it back. 2 laps to go. Maust is hunting. He catches him again in turn 2. Makes the pass. Chapman staying right with him. The crowd is absolutely roaring. These boys have brought the show. Checkered is ready. Chapman is not giving up. They both want that win. Hammer down. The intensity is unreal. Chapman goes for it. Maust is flooding it & prevails. By a bumper! Dalten Maust #84 parks his ride in the Driven Performance Midwest Victory Lane! His first feature win within the POWRi Lonestar 600's!
Restrictors out next. Hailey Taylor finds herself on the pole for the first time in a her restrictor career. She leads the field to the green with Christopher Townsend next to her. Green flag, drag race and Hailey is out front. Only to be called back due to a car spun out. Line them up and try again. Green flies this time Townsend says nope and jumps out front. Jayton Brown hot on the tail of 1st and 2nd. Stephen Yates is on the move from the back knocking off cars left and right. Yellow flies 29K of Kinsley Cook spinning. Green flies again. Dalton Wayne spinning again causing a second yellow retiring to the infield. Line them up Townsend, Brown your Top 2. Behind them Hailey Taylor, Rylie Yates, Kamirin Cook and Kinsley Cook yep, all girls. A flock of 4 ladies trying hard to to work the slick track. For the first time in a long time more girls than boy on the track. Townsend would keep the lead the rest of the race and park his ride in the Driven Performance Midwest Victory Lane.
NonWing 600's is go time. Jacob Lucas & Johnny Boland lead the 24 car field to the green. Lap 2 Mike Stanfill brings out the red with a flip trick. Back to green. Caleb Martin is on the move. Lucas leads. Lap 4 caution flies for a stalled Matt McDade. Green waves for 2 laps then Red flag for Bash Ferguson & Clark Warren after making contact. Green in the air once more. Lucas, Martin, Boland. Boland & Martin try the top. Lucas railing low. Martin inches & makes the pass for the lead. Caution for a car turned around. Revert 1 lap. Lucas is back in the lead. Lap 10 down the front stretch Jarret Hjorth & Christopher Townsend take a tumble. All drivers check out okay. Back to racing. Lucas takes off. Martin stays close. Boland holds 3rd. Preston Perlmutter attempts to take over 3rd. Boland gets it back. White flag. Lucas is working hard. Martin is knocking. Checkers fly & Jacob Lucas parks his #57 ride in the Driven Performance Midwest Victory lane.
