38 Mini Sprint's, 7 Restrictor's, and 4 Jr. Sprint's pulled through the gats for the 5th Annual Nolan Wren Memorial at Gator Motorplex. The pit were packed with a tone of 360's and 305's as well. Heat races would be ran with the top 16 locking themselves into the A-Main. That put the other 22 cars split between 2 B-Mains in the 600's. That race was followed by the Top 8 dash to determine the feature lineup. Wyatt Rector would come out on top of the dash to put him on the pole for the 25 lap Feature event. All 24 cars would pile on the track and get lined up for there fate at $1200. We would take the green only to be shut down by a wreck in turn 1. Troy Wren and another car(I cant remember) would find themselves the cause of the caution sending them to the back. We would get them lined back up and try again. the green flag would drop only to be called back once again due to another wreck in turn one. Chase Cook and Cody Freeman would be the cause of that caution sending them to the back. We would once again line em back up and try again. The green flag would drop and well third times a charm everyone made it through Trun 1 and we stayed green. Wyatt Rector would take a demanding lead over Aaron Reutzel. Rector found himself in heavy lap traffic around lap 10. Reutzel was able to reel Rector in and would pass him on lap 12. On lap 14 the caution flag would fly to a pun Brandon Anderson in Turn 2. We would sort out the lineup and got the race back underway. Reutzel would lead the rest of the race and win it in the 4W Wren Motorpsort machine followed by Wyatt Rector and Jeb Sessums would finalize the top 3. Next up was the restrictor's. Trey Burke would finde himself on the pole for the 15 lap A-Main. The green flag would wave and Trey took a demanding lead over the field. Shortly htere after the red would come out for the flipping Timothy Watson in turn 2. He would climb out of the car unhurt. We went back to racing to find the red out again a few laps later to Cole Tipton on his side. The would turn him back on his feet and he would fire it up and join the field again. The race got cut short due to time and Trey Burke would drive it to victory lane. Next up was our Jr. Sprint's. CJ Jones would lead the field to the line and stay in the lead. On the 2 laps Christopher Townsend would turn it into a nail bitter and pull up alongside CJ Jones and make it a drag race 4 the last 2 laps. On the last corned Townsend would try and make his last effort to take the lead and pull up next to CJ Jones but CJ found a little more power and pulled out the win by a foot over Christopher Townsend. Thank you all that came out the race or watch. Next race will be at Gulf Coast Speedway 4/9.
